Do you know there are hundreds of cupcake blogs? I love making cupcakes, mostly because I love to decorate them. So I was watching Food Network last night, and there was a baking show on. And one of the segments was cupcakes and there was this cc recipe I wanted to try. So I go to the website and look it up. Then you know how that is...I clicked on a cc link or two and do you know there are hundreds of cupcake blogs? I am such an amateur cc maker and blogger, I was just blown away by the number of cupcake people. What is your favorite type of cupcake? Jan
Well, Jan, since I was a kid, I was a pushover for the old cellophaned packages of Hostess Cupcakes...you know, the devil\'s food ones with the chocolate frosting and that oh so whipped creamy center. It\'s funny, I LOVE homemade cupcakes, but that old childhood love of the Hostess always creeps back in.

Hhmmm cupcakes! You know me.. anything chocolate. lol I also like cheesecake cupcakes though. The Food Network inspires me! I love to watch Paula Dean and Tyler Florence. Since we\'ve gotten the HD tv and HD programing now, I find myself watching the Food Network more and more. I swear it\'s like their sitting right there in your living room cooking for you. lol
ReplyDeleteJan, I don\'t bake, is that UnAmerican??? Its that my Mom does all the cooking for us, she has my dinner ready every night and we go there and eat. It gives her something to do and it makes my hips bigger. Oh Lord How did I get off track? Cupcakes, if I baked would be chocolate , with white icing. Have a wonderful week my friend. Pat

I would love to find a cupcake website! Do we english call them fairy cakes or are they something completely different? Littel sponge cakes usually with water icing on the top? Sorry to just barge in but was nosing about spaces and couldn\'t resist leaving a comment xx

ReplyDeleteI\'m not surprised that there are hundreds of cupcake blogs. What a special thing they are. I remember when I was in grade school the baker would deliver fresh bread and cupcakes each afternoon. My favorite were the cupcakes made with devil\'s food with cream in the center and a little bit of spiced frosting.
ReplyDeleteAaaaaaaaaaaa!!! Cup Cakes! Is it any wonder cute girls get called "cup cake"? They are so delicious! My birthday is in Sept. so when I was a child I was always in school on my birthday. My mother used to make an arrangement with the teacher on my birthday to bring cup cakes to the class at recess. We\'d have a little mini birthday party for every one. The kids loved my mother. She roar up in a surplus army jeep in short-shorts and her wild blond hair with treats for us all. They thought she was magic...and I knew she was.

I would settle for almost any cupcake, but a white or yellow one, with chocolate frosting, and possibly an injection of a compatible goo would be ideal! I don\'t think any have magically appeared, but I\'m going to the kitcken and rummage about a bit, anyway.Peace, Doc
ReplyDeleteI\'ll take chocolate on chocolate :) but wille at anything if it\'s put in front of me.........Never being blessed with children, it\'s probably been since I was a little girl since I made cupcakes with my Mother. She was always a "homeroom Mother" and got stuck making cupcakes for my class.....LOL.....but she loved it!!!!! and I helped :)
